Istikbal started manufacturing activities in the late 1950’s, and became a leader in the furniture sector because of heavy investments, and successful marketing strategies. We’ve always done our best to keep track of supply and demand, and keep investments in tune with market demands. New investments continued through the ‘80s and ‘90s to result in the current integrated facility, which has come to make Istikbal a recognized brand name in homes throughout the world. Most of Istikbal’s investments are based in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone on a total of 361,000 m² covered area as manufacturing plants. Over 650 different products are manufactured at Istikbal plants.
Merkez Celik facilities are the largest of Istikbal’s investments with 112,000 m² covered manufacturing area. Sofabeds, sitting groups, bases, wooden parts, and metal springs are manufactured at Merkez Celik facilities.
The new Istikbal Furniture and Trade Co. Facilities started activities on a 60,000 m² closed area to better serve the Istikbal brand name by manufacturing 5 different spring coils (SL, Bonel, Cosiflex, Pocket Spring, DSF). Istikbal plants produce 5,000 mattress units/day, and 12,000 home textile units/day along with the spring coils.
Another investment realized in the beginning of the second millenium is Form Foam which takes 5th place amongst Turkey’s top foam manufacturers with a 20,000 m² closed production area and produces 6,000 m³/day of foam and 10 tons/day of fiber.
One of the most important investments of 2001 was the realization of Boyteks for the production of mattress ticking. Total closed off production area of 60,000 m² manufactures 27,000 m²/day of ticking and exports too mainly to the USA among other countries.
The panel furniture plants were built in the second half of the 1990’s with 55,000 m² area, manufacturing 8,500 m²/day. By the year 2002 the total area where actual production activity was carried out had increased to 109,000 m². Boytas 1 plants, with 55,000 m² production area, manufacture accessories, wall stands, cloak stands, and dining rooms. Boytas 3 plants, with 54,000 m² manufacturing area, produce bedroom and young room sets.
As of 2002, Istikbal A.S. employs 8,500 personnel in plants of 361,000 m² areas, presents over 650 products to select from, and has taken a merited place amongst world leaders in the furniture sector with over 1200 retail stores.
Istikbal A.S. exports 20% of its manufactured goods to over 50 countries, and has over 800 sales points in Germany alone.
